The Divine Family

From the eternal Absolute, our God has manifested first as the great Light of Creation and then, within that light, has personified Himself as Father and Mother together with the third part of Godhead, who is God the Son, within whose Being is also the Daughter.

From these three persons of God's nature the scroll has been unrolled for us, which represent the Universes of the Great Cosmos at all their levels from the most ethereal to the most dense.

These many levels of creation form for us the ground of experience, a school, in which we have been placed in order to come to our own reality and learn to understand its significance.

Each of us has been given a seed from the substance of God's Being which is the basis of our reality. We are thus engaged in living out the potentialities in this seed nature and bringing ourselves to birth as Divine Children, each in our own way, in order that our individuality should grow and flourish. Our eldest brother, who has had much experience given to him while the Universes were still being brought into existence, has been given the task by the Creator of overseeing the educational work in the great university.

He is also The Son of God and The Daughter of God, the teacher of teachers of the younger children of God. His nature, like his Father's, is both personal and universal and he is affectionately known as The Beloved of God.

It is He who comes to us to explain the meaning and value of our life and the great gift which our God is endeavouring to give to us. He comes to make the link in our understand ing which will enable us to relate directly to our Father and Mother and Brother in Divine Heaven, just as he does.

In this picture he is seen carrying the staff of life in one hand, which is a sign of his responsibility, and on his other arm he carries us, his younger brothers and sisters.

He carries us through the ground of experience in order that we should fulfil the curriculum of the university. When this curriculum has been completed, then the scroll of creation will be rolled up again. By then, those who wish to will have joined the Divine family and we will all be preparing for another day of manifestation to further our delight in the never-ending possibilities of our eternal reality together.

It is most important to recognise the deeply affectionate, but non-interfering attitude on the part of our Parents, who know that we have to come to our understanding and responsibility by trying our best, but learning to correct the inevitable mistakes that are the result of inexperience.

There can be no short cut to the wisdom we must distil in order to uphold, with responsibility and strength, the great gift of our own Divine Individuality.
