THE
DEEPEST THRILL
As
God, I may have been the cause
Of all the sights and sounds
That beautify our homely grounds.
But please don't fill with apprehension
Your wondering gaze of comprehension.
Just span it with a childlike trust
That links the best in you and me
In playing at eternity.
For thus we ever can achieve
Delight and friendly company,
While making life more lovely still
In ways we find
Through staying blind
To all but being's deepest thrill.
